Do you believe that this would work for non-felted knit slippers? I can't use wool for the slippers I am making due to allergies, but I would love to use this method to put soles on them.

Same question as Kayla ... I want to slip-proof machine-washable knit slippers, so I'm asking if this technique is machine washable & dryable.

This is so funny because I did the exact same thing to mine slippers as well! Years ago I made tons of these for my nieces and didn't want them to lose their footing on their hardwood floors. The only difference in our two techniques is that I "shaved" the soles first to get rid of the fuzzies left over after felting. That way the silicon could adhere better to the sole.Your blog is very fun!!
